I will be the first to admit that I hate the idea of bringing my car to the dealership to get serviced. That being said, my Hyundai was due for several recall services, as well as a replacement steering coupler, as the clunking sound I was experiencing while driving was terrible. I chose Wasler Hyundai because of the proximity to where I live and it was my first time visiting. Honestly, I have to say that it was a wonderful experience. The service tech who checked me in was friendly and the waiting area was pristine. I decided to wait for my car to be completed (which ended up being around 3.5 hours, but I fully expected this and brought my laptop so I could work). The wifi was fast enough for me to be productive, and the seating area had plenty of tables and charging outlets. There was self service water and coffee. The whole area, including the bathrooms, were remarkably clean and bright. During the actual appointment, I was so impressed with the communication and technology. They sent me a text message when my complimentary inspection began and additional messages during the appointment. They even sent a video walkthrough, including under the hood and under my vehicle while it was up on the lift, with an explanation of what he was seeing. I thought that was really cool and definitely something I was used to getting. They did notify me that both of my high beam lights were out and I was able to authorize that additional service right through my phone. For a car that is 14 years old, I was honestly expecting them to tell me I needed a lot more work done, but that was it! The steering coupler was actually much less than I expected (an independent repair shop quoted almost 1k, the dealership was around $380). I honestly wasn't planning to buy another Hyundai, but this experience is having me reconsider. At the very least, I will definitely bring my car back there for any servicing needs.
