American Issue 2015 Hyundai Genesis Skates into Detroit

Last week at the Detroit Auto Show, our preferred automaker Hyundai hosted the American debut of the next generation Genesis sedan. We've got quite a bit to look forward to in the American-spec edition, and we're excited to show you what's to come.

Visually, the 2015 Genesis features the next iteration of the automaker's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. While some might think this means a liquid look, it actually translates to clean body lines and a coupe-like roofline. To us, the car has the persona of a European luxury car without eschewing its South Korean heritage.

On the engine end, the new Genesis comes with your choice of a 3.8-liter V6 with 333 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque, or a 5.0-liter V8 with an amped 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of twist. There are two drivetrains available--RWD standard, and AWD with the automaker's new HTRAC system.

With a whole host of upscale luxury components both inside and out, one might think this sedan would burn a hole in your pocket. That won't the case. While official pricing hasn't been released as of yet, Hyundai has noted that it will keep its MSRP below $40,000.

As more information is released, we'll keep you updated. Just stay tuned to our blog.

If your automotive needs are a bit more immediate, we invite you to stop by our Brooklyn Park, MN dealership in the greater Minneapolis area and see what new Hyundai model catches your attention.
