New Hyundai Engines offer Higher Performance

The 2013 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show serves as a great platform to introduce new Hyundai technologies, including concept cars, technology enhancements and performance improvements.

Hyundai will soon sell two of its most popular specialty engines to the public-- Yes, that includes you, Minneapolis area Hyundai drivers.

The Lambda 3.8-liter direct-injected V6 engine along with the Theta 2.0-liter four-cylinder will both be available for $9,000 and $4,500 respectively. For those looking for an even bigger boost, Hyundai's turbo-ready Theta can also be enhanced with a turbocharger, intercooler, and ducting setup for an extra $1,500.

As soon as we can start selling this duo at our Hyundai parts department in the Minneapolis area, the brand hopes to make it easier and more affordable for drivers to modify their vehicles.

Making the Lambda and Theta engine readily accessible to drivers will also help Hyundai establish itself among the racer community and gain some new fans, particularly those gearheads hooked on transforming their rides.

The South Korean automaker anticipates the crate engine program-- as it's called-- to be popular among Hyundai Genesis owners and prospective buyers. The coupe is already a favorite among racing enthusiasts and thrill seekers and these power plants will take them to a whole new level.

The official release date of the first crate engine options has yet to be confirmed, but stay in touch with us at Walser Hyundai for more information via phone, email, a visit, or even right here on our blog.
