However, the last 2 recent visits, they were not communicative at all. The first time, I had my car in for oil change and they told me that my car was ready to be pick up 4 minutes before the closing time, so I was not able to make it on time. Fortunately, the show room staff are helpful and was able to help me get my car. The most recent visit, we tried to get our car for a diagnostic test to see what's going on with the horn. I specifically asked the staff how long they think it will take, they said that it should be ready by 1:50 in the afternoon but they will keep me updated by texts. I never got any updates on my car the whole afternoon and I was anticipating to get my car back that day, so we drove to the store hoping to get some answers. By that time, the service center was already closed, so we had to ask the showroom staff for help once again, and they were very helpful and got someone to give us a status update. Turns out they didn't have the right maintenance person qualified enough to check on my car even though they attempted to, which is ok, if they would have communicated that to me. I was very disappointed to the last service. They told me that they would be in touch to reschedule my horn fix, but I still haven't received any call to reschedule. I really hope they can improve on the communication part cause I really enjoyed the overall experience from this dealership.

Service department was slow in providing paper work. The recall software update was done quickly. Vehicle was taken in at 7:15 am and paperwork was available at 12 noon. Otherwise in all previous interaction the service dept was excellent. Note: The night before this recall action, my other car would not start at the dealership. Even though after hours, a sales person came out and was able to jump start the car so I could go home. That was very much appreciated.

Our sales person Amanda was excellent. We were with her every step of the way. We never had to talk to anyone else for financing, accessories, etc, which was refreshing. In general, you add $2500 for tax, title, and license… The extra cost was nearly $5k! They also offered a 3 year warranty for what I thought was a ridiculous price for the reliable vehicle we purchased. The service guys were great to work with. I had taken my car to 2 other shops and had no idea what was wrong with it, Walser got it in and within an hour had it figured out. Parts were in stock and I was out the door same day. Pricing was very reasonable and they washed my car for me too! Moses made the process easy and I felt like I understood everything. Will definitely be bringing my vehicle back.

Let me be very clear: I love the car I purchased. Hyundai makes a great product. The problem is Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park. This was one of the most deceptive and frustrating dealership experiences I have ever had. Their practices have already cost me hundreds of dollars and hours of my time trying to fix issues created by their financing and sales process. I escalated my concerns to management, and while the branch manager’s email response was appropriate, everything that followed made it clear the issues are systemic. I was asked to return to the dealership, and when I arrived, a different manager approached me pretending to be the person I had been coordinating with—going as far as to say, “Nice to see you again.” I had never seen him before. That level of dishonesty is unacceptable. The entire sales process felt intentionally structured to pressure and trap the customer. I requested documentation in advance and was not provided with it. Instead, my credit was run and I was then kept at the dealership while being repeatedly pushed to purchase add-on products I had already declined. It felt less like a car purchase and more like a forced sales funnel. At one point, a salesperson attempted to undermine Hyundai’s own reliability by stating that many of their vehicles end up in service within five years—completely contradicting the brand’s 10-year warranty. That alone should concern Hyundai corporate. I am now dealing with financial complications due to how this transaction was handled—something I have never experienced before. For comparison, I have financed a vehicle through another dealership (Paul Miller Honda in NJ) without a single issue. The difference in professionalism is night and day. Walser Hyundai does not operate in a way that reflects integrity, transparency, or respect for the customer. Their approach feels predatory and entirely focused on extracting additional money through add-ons and financing tactics. Hyundai should seriously evaluate whether this dealership represents their brand appropriately. Bottom line: I love my car. I regret buying it from Walser. I will not return, and I would strongly caution others to take their business elsewhere. P.S. I initially intended to leave this matter closed after receiving a refund for the Pulse add-on. However, I have since discovered that interest was accruing on a daily basis without that being clearly disclosed to me at the time of financing. That lack of transparency raises concerns under Minnesota consumer protection standards and is the reason I am now escalating this experience through formal channels.

My husband and I planned to drive a couple of cars to consider and ended up leaving with a new car. Our salesman, Thomas Robinson, was personable, patient, and thorough. He showed us several cars and let us form our own impressions. He answered our questions, entertained us with movie trivia, recommended a place to grab some lunch, and sent us home with a car. Shoutout to Troy the service advisor here. He kept me in the loop on progress of repairs, was transparent and service was completed in a timely manner.
