It probably doesn't come as any surprise that the 2012 Hyundai Veloster has one more accolade to add to the list, as it has already been named as the "Best Economy Car" by Bloomberg, and its 1.6-liter Gamma engine won a spot on the "Wards 10 Best Engines" list. However, the 3-door coupe from Hyundai was recently bestowed with a "GOOD DESIGN" award.
The "GOOD DESIGN" Awards, put together by Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together and The
European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies for past 16 years recognize advancements that are made in a wide range of fields from electronics to cars. So, how did the 2012 Hyundai Veloster end up on the list?
Good question. There are several reasons. First, there's the obvious reason, which is vehicle's unique, 3-door design. The vehicle occupies the compact coupe segment, but it features the same ease of access that many 4-door sedans boast. In terms of usability, this is a fantastic design. Then there's the actual design language of the Veloster. More specifically it draws inspiration from a racing helmet, which can be seen in the vehicle's distinctive black A-pillars in the front, which work to make the front windshield look like a visor of sorts.
Regardless of its inspiration, the 2012 Hyundai Veloster is a vehicle that's bound to turn heads. If this unique design speaks to you, then don't hesitate to stop by and check it out today at Walser Hyundai, located at 8100 Lakeland Avenue North in Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
