The 2012 Hyundai Veloster will be officially recognized as the "Urban Car of the Year" at the 16^th annual Urban Wheel Awards (UWA), on Sunday January 8^th, 2012. The event is a joint effort of the Emerging Diversity Education Fund (EDEF) and Decisive Media, and will be held in the MotorCity Casino Hotel's Sound Board Theater in Detroit, Michigan just before the 2012 North American International Auto Show kicks off.
